Create a hidden div not taking any space in HTML
In this tutorial, we are going to learn about how to create a hidden div that doesn’t take up any space in html with the help of examples.
Consider, we have a following html element:
<div> This is main heading</div>
Now, we need to hide the above div and it doesn’t take up any space in the webpage.
Using display:none
To create a hidden div by not taking any space, we can use the css display: none
property in HTML.
Here is an example :
<div style="display:none"> This is main heading</div>
When set a display: none
to the html element it removes the element completely from the webpage and doesn’t take up any space.
You can also add the styles separately using class attribute:
<div class="box"> This is main heading</div>
.box {
display:none;
}
Note: If we use visibility: hidden
to hide a div, it hides the div but creates an empty space in the webpage.
