How to disable the Link in Vue.js
In this tutorial, we are going to learn about how to disable the link in Vue.js with the help of examples.
Consider, that we have the following Link in our Vue app:
<router-link to="/contact">Contact</router-link>
To disable a link in vue, add the pointerEvents: "none"
to the <router-link>
component style property.
Here is an example:
<template>
<ul>
<li>
<router-link to="/contact"
:style="{
pointerEvents: 'none',
}"
>About</router-link>
</li>
</ul>
</template>
When we set a pointerEvents property to a value "none"
it disables the link and doesn’t respond to the any cursor or touch events.
If you’re using the CSS class names, you can add the pointer-events: none
to the <router-link>
component CSS class name.
<template>
<ul>
<li>
<router-link to="/contact" class="disable-link" >About</router-link>
</li>
</ul>
</template>
<style>
.disable-link{
pointer-events: none;
}
</style>
