Passing the JavaScript variable to a Textbox in HTML
In this tutorial, we are going to learn about how to pass the JavaScript variable to input textbox in HTML with the help of examples.
Consider, we have a following JavaScript variable in our code:
const name = "sai";
Now, we need to pass it to the following textbox in HTML.
<input placeholder="Name" id="name" />
To pass the JavaScript variable to a textbox, first we need to access the textbox inside the JavaScript using the document.getElementById()
method.
const input = document.getElementById("name");
Now, pass a variable to the “input.value” property like this.
const name = "Gowtham"
input.value = name;
In the example above, first we accessed the input
element inside the JavaScript using the document.getElementById("name")
then we passed a name
variable to the input html element like this
input.value = name
.
