Getting the string length
To get the length of a string, we can use the built in String.Length
property in C#.
The
String.Length
property returns the number of characters in a string or it returns0
for the empty string ("").
Here is an example, that gets the length of a string stored in the fruit
variable.
using System;
class StringLength {
static void Main() {
string fruit = "apple";
int length = fruit.Length;
Console.WriteLine("The length of a string is {0}",length);
}
}
Output:
The length of a string is 5
