How to generate components in a specific folder using Angular cli

In this tutorial, we are going to learn about generating components into a specific folder using the angular cli.

Generating components

To generate components into a specific folder, we can use the ng g c command followed by the folder path.

Example:

ng g c dev/home-button

This command will generate a home-button component inside the app/dev/home-button folder.

Note: If the dev folder doesn’t exist angular cli will create one.

If you want to stop creating a new folder, you can add the --flat option to the above command.

ng g c dev/home-button --flat

This command will generate a home-component inside the app/dev folder.
