In this tutorial, we are going to learn about how to get the current year in TypeScript using the
new Date() constructor.
We can get the current year in TypeScript by calling a
getFullYear() method on a new Date() constructor.
getFullYear() method returns the current year in four-digit(2022) format according to the user local time.
Here is an example:
const currentYear = new Date().getFullYear(); console.log(currentYear);
Also we can get the current month, date in TypeScript by using
Here is an example of current month:
const currentMonth = new Date().getMonth(); console.log(currentMonth); // 8
getMonth() returns the month in numerical format from (0 - 11), where
0 is January,
1 is February and 11 is December, etc.
Here is an example of current date:
const currentDate = new Date().getDate(); console.log(currentDate); // 7
getDate() returns the current day of a month according to the user’s local time.
